Default New Quests for '11

I looked all over the place in LA and Kamadan, I even went to visit the Nameless Lich in Droknar's Forge. There is no sign of anything new, save Scarred Psyche, but that is hardly a continuation of the Lunatic Court plot-line. And obviously we still have no idea what the purpose of the Lich is or who it is that was also trying to return to the mortal world with the Flux.

The calendar makes no mention of new quests, it just says "halloween quests" start today and new quests for 2011 are no where to be found.

Are we honestly expected to wait another year before this quest continues?

It could be similar to the various collectors who don't show up right away, the quests may simply show up at a later point in time. Or they are being offered in a way that hasn't been discovered and/or published yet. Those are the only things I can think of.

The official site only mentions "quests from the past events" returning, and the new Challenge Mission which happened to be Scarred Psyche.

I think that's pretty much all. I didn't expect anything substantial or a continuation either, I always considered Halloween Missions appetizers for actual content updates:

- In 2009 we had a preview of the then upcoming UW Update with Dhuum
- In 2010 we had a kick-start preview of the Elonian part of GW:Beyond, involving Palawa Joko and his plans of domination
- In 2011... well, we have to realize they're a bit late with the development of Beyond...

I must admit, I did kind of have my hopes up for a continuation of the story from last year. I was excited to see what was going to happen with this Nameless Lich. Just a single challenge mission isn't really what I had in mind.

But considering the fact that the majority of the company is focused on GW2 and they only have a small team working on GW1 at the moment, I don't really mind. I'm sure they work damn hard to get the content they have released so far out to us. I just keep in mind its FREE. No subscriptions and no extra costs. That's the main reason I buy all the costumes when they come out.

I want to keep supporting ANet so they can continue to release content. It's not because I feel obligated, its because I want to help out in any way I can.

Like Gill said above here, I'm sure that Halloween is just a kind of introduction to things that are coming. Perhaps it all ties into the WoC third chapter which is set to come out sometime soon?

I'm pretty sure Scarred Psyche is all we're getting.

A repeatable battle that can drop ectos, and you say "is that all?"

...really!?

Yeah chuckles, I don't want to cause a sh*t storm but that isn't really much when it comes to the plotline we've been following since '10. It's a PvE game just like Costume Brawl is a PvP game.

"I always considered Halloween Missions appetizers for actual content updates"

I really hope that's the case, but the Lunatic Court stuff was over a year ago and this year hardly has anything leading up to a main content update, compared to Dhuum's lead-up which was gigantic.

I don't remember seeing anything from Anet confirming that they were even planning on making a Beyond chapter for Elona, either. I think the most they said was that they would like to.

And I'm not sure what any of this has to do with WoC. Anet stated ahead of time that the Tengu would be evolved but didn't mention anything about a crossover between that and the Lunatic Court.
